Duties and Responsibilities of a Ranger

1. Environmental and Land Management

• Monitor and manage native ecosystems, threatened species, and habitats.

• Control invasive species (weeds and feral animals).

• Conduct and support fire management activities (e.g. prescribed burns, bushfire suppression).

• Support biodiversity and land restoration projects.

• Respond to emergencies like bushfires, floods, or injured wildlife.
